PARENTING CHALLENGES?
I CAN HELP All parents struggle at times. Despite bringing much joy, children can also be difficult, frustrating and draining. A child's defiance, disrespect and challenging behavior can quickly trigger a parent into yelling and imposing consequences. Not only does this response not work very well to change their behavior, but it makes us feel bad about ourselves and disconnected from our child.
Imagine having a simple framework that guides you in every parenting challenge. A framework that is tailored to your particular family and brings out the best in both you and your child. I'm Karen Kraut, a parenting coach who specializes in the transformative, evidence-based approach called Collaborative Problem Solving®owned and developed by Think:Kids in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. I give parents practical, concrete tools to relate better to their kids, reduce challenging behavior, and build their child/teen's skills in self-regulation, communication and problem-solving. Rather than using power, control and motivators, I offer a radically different understanding of challenging kids and an effective, positive approach to parenting. I help parents who are feeling stuck and drained overcome obstacles that are preventing them from being the parent they want to be...and their kids need them to be. Let me help you make parenting easier and more rewarding. |

WHAT PARENTS HAVE TO SAY
"I recommend Karen's coaching to any family. It is the most helpful thing I have done as a parent to improve how my daughter and I interact. I wish I had found it sooner. Thank you, Karen, for making my relationship with my daughter better than I could have imagined."
